Who We Are
Cultivating Community…
One Pretty Porch at a Time.
At Pretty Porch DC, we believe that your front porch isn’t just an entryway—it’s part of your sanctuary. In a city where porches are woven into the culture of each neighborhood, they’ve long served as gathering spaces, play areas, and quiet spots for connection. They’re where everyday magic happens—and they deserve the same level of care and maintenance we give the rest of our homes.
Founder Jo was inspired to start Pretty Porch DC after noticing just how many beautiful DC porches were being quietly neglected—not for lack of love, but for lack of time. Between the demands of work, family, and city life, it’s easy for upkeep to fall by the wayside. But DC’s heavy rains, extreme pollen, and seasonal wear can take a toll. What seems like a cosmetic issue can quickly become long-term damage.
That’s where we come in.
Pretty Porch DC offers thoughtful, detailed cleaning and reset services with a deep understanding of the unique needs of DC’s porches. We're not just about blasting things with water. In fact, that’s why we’re not called Pressure Washing DC. Some surfaces need a softer touch. We assess every porch individually—just like a doctor would assess a patient—using the right tools and pressure for each surface and condition. It’s this care and attention to detail that sets us apart.
We specialize in preventative maintenance—routine services that keep your porch not only looking beautiful, but functioning well. It’s easier (and more cost-effective) to maintain a space regularly than to repair or most likely need to replace from damage, later. From sweeping and leaf blowing to soft washing and resets, we do the work that helps protect one of your biggest investments: your home.
At the heart of our work is the joy of rejuvenating spaces people love—places where you gather with friends, sip your morning coffee, or just enjoy a moment to yourself. In a city known for community, porches are where that community starts.
Let us help you protect and care for yours.
